Weekly Feature: Cheesesteaks That Legally Qualify as Modern Architecture
This week in the Philly Bob’s Swag Shop, we’re recognizing what the zoning board has known all along: our cheesesteaks are not just food — they’re structural marvels.
The Collection
We’ve captured the grandeur of Philly’s skyline and wrapped it in cotton, fleece, and polyester. Imagine a hoodie strong enough to double as scaffolding. A tote sturdy enough to haul blueprints. A tee so crisp it might pass inspection under the watchful gaze of William Penn.
Our designs nod to the buildings that shape our city — City Hall, the Comcast towers, even the eternal bones of 30th Street Station — but with the grease-dripping majesty of cheesesteaks reimagined as load-bearing walls. Wearable architecture, signed off by the gods of both zoning and provolone.
Why Now?
Because Philly has never needed another skyscraper — it’s needed recognition that cheesesteaks themselves are already our monuments.
Because style, like a well-placed beam, needs strength.
Because in a city where pigeons file paperwork, even food can be declared structural integrity.
